Bidenomics

  • The CHIPS and Science Act earmarked $280 billion to support semiconductor chip production plus research and development in the fields of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, clean energy, and nanotechnology. The Inflation Reduction Act is a $740 billion initiative that intends to bolster green technology, sustainable energy, and electric vehicle manufacturing.
  • The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act intends to create millions of union jobs over the next decade and pump $550 billion in new federal investments into America’s roads and bridges, water infrastructure, resilience, and broadband.
  • For consumers, the Biden administration wants to counter climate change, lower healthcare and prescription drug costs, and eliminate “junk fees” — unexpected charges often not included in the initial price of a product. There’s also been a major antitrust-enforcement push by the Federal Trade Commission and Chair Lina Khan.
